Quanzhou Wurong Sports Conducts Fire Safety Publicity, Education, and Fire Drill Activities (Video Included)
To comprehensively enhance the construction of the market’s safety production system, strengthen safety production publicity and education, and bolster safety awareness among all employees, as well as to create a positive environment for safety production in the market, our company issued the 2021 annual work plan for safety production ahead of the “National Safety Production Month” in May 2021. In addition, on the afternoon of April 29, 2021, we conducted fire safety publicity and education activities along with a fire drill.
Company safety officer Guan Xiaowei, who is in charge of fire safety, provided a detailed on-site explanation covering topics such as the “four capabilities for fire safety,” “basic methods for firefighting,” and “how to use fire extinguishers.” He also shared general knowledge about the causes of fires, how to prevent them, how to put out initial-stage fires, how to use fire-fighting equipment, and proper evacuation and escape procedures in case of a fire.
“Once a fire breaks out, everyone must remain calm. When escaping, use a wet towel to cover your mouth and nose, keep your body as low as possible, and crawl forward to avoid smoke inhalation and suffocation,” said the fire safety educator, summarizing the participants’ experience in the simulated fire escape exercise and providing a detailed demonstration.

Immediately after the emergency evacuation drill concluded, personnel were organized to conduct a fire-fighting drill. Guan Xiaowei, the fire safety publicity representative from the Production Department, led a fire-fighting drill for all company members. On-site, he explained how to properly operate and use fire extinguishers while demonstrating fire-extinguishing techniques.
At the fire simulation site, everyone took turns picking up fire extinguishers to put out burning materials. All participants were divided into pairs and took turns going onto the field to perform practical exercises, experiencing the correct techniques and becoming proficient in how to properly use fire extinguishers to control fires.

Through the implementation of this fire safety publicity and education campaign, as well as fire emergency evacuation drills and fire-fighting exercises, all company staff have further enhanced their capabilities in emergency response, rapid reaction, coordinated cooperation, and self-rescue and escape when confronted with fires or other sudden emergencies. This has effectively strengthened employees’ awareness of fire safety and improved their proficiency in using firefighting equipment, thereby establishing a solid safety barrier for the stable operation of the entire company.
